No Hard Sell With UWDC

One of the things that I enjoy about being a distributor (affiliate) for Telecom Plus, the company that runs the Utility Warehouse Discount Club, is the fact that there's no hard sell with their products and services. Due to the nature of the services that they provide, you don't have to persuade people to buy something that they may, or may not, want.

Telecom Plus offer telephone services, both landline and mobile, internet services, gas and electricity. Most people already have some, if not all, of these - and consider them to be essential services.

All that you need to do is to show your prospective clients how they can save money (in some cases a lot of money) on the services that they already have. It's still selling, but it's very definitely a soft sell.

For many people, that can make the difference between success and failure in their home business. It's unsurprising that many people don't like to sell - but what is surprising, in my opinion at least, is the fact that a high percentage of sales averse individuals seem to think that they can run an online business without making sales.

The fact is that an internet business is just like any other - it requires sales to thrive and survive. There's nothing magical about doing business online - no sales means no viable business.

There are a variety of means to make the sales process easier. You can let your website do a lot (but not all) of the selling for you if you like. You can use autoresponders to build a relationship with your customers if you like. However, selling is required to some extent.

Persuading someone to switch energy supplier, especially if they can save money as a result, is probably going to be a good deal easier than persuading them that they need another get rich quick ebook.
